Freestyle Friday: Deetranada

Yessssssssssssssss!
We are truly in a unique era of hip-hop. I think people are feeling the same way I was feeling. “WHY IS IT SO HARD TO FIND GOOD HIP-HOP MUSIC?” When I say good, I’m not just talking about the beat and a catchy hook, I’m talking about the full package. Lyrics, delivery, bars, flow, and vibe.

Rappers aren’t really rapping these days, which is causing real lyricist to step up. We’re starting to see how Hip-Hop is gradually converting back to its original state. Of course, it’s not going to happen overnight, but as long as we have rappers like this young lady, then I have complete faith in hip-hop being revived.

Diamond Barmer, known by her stage moniker Deetranada, is an artist from Baltimore, Maryland and is 17 years of age. I would have never guessed that she was 17 spitting the bars she’s spitting. Deetranada is new to me and I discovered her on Youtube. She was on the 3rd season of the show “The Rap Game” hosted by Jermaine Dupri for aspiring young artist.

I was driving when I came across Deetranada and had to roll the windows down and turn the volume up. I was taken aback by her mask (which is soooooo my style), but her bars are what had me driving my car slow and beating my head. I love when I hear creativity on a track (like i always say).

Happy Sabbath to those who partake in it, and I will see y’all next week.
