Therapy Type Thursday: Thought of the Day

As we gradually approach the weekend, I want you all to be mindful of your thoughts. You are your worst enemy within the way you think. Think nothing but positive thoughts. Yes, it is a practice within itself, but it will be a practice worth while. If you practice thinking positively on a daily, eventually that practice will become a habit. I don’t know about you all, but that’s a habit I’m not trying to kick.

Here’s a quick example, my car broke down. You would think I’d be upset and worried about it, but I literally said “At least that b**** broke down in the parking lot! Thank God there’s a bus I can catch.” I literally laughed about it because I was talking about how I needed to get more exercise in and bwoi (boy) doesn’t God have a sense of humor. So now that my car needs to be fixed, I took it as an excuse for me to walk in the mornings now. Why worry about it when there’s alternatives. That’s what having a positive mind can do. Back in the days, something like this would’ve stressed me out, now Im like it’s life 🤷🏾‍♀️, I’ll get it fixed this weekend.
