I woke up yesterday with so much anxiety. With everything that’s going on in the world, it’s kind of hard not to. The energy and response from the death of George Floyd is being felt on a global level. As I scrolled through my Instagram feed, this video by Hasan Minhaj, the host of the Netflix political series “Patriot Act“, touched my soul and relieved some of that anxiety. It’s heartwarming to hear someone call out the injustice that Black people have to deal with on the daily with so much understanding and compassion. His speech was well articulated, that you couldn’t help but to get a little teary eye as a POC (person of color).
